Masterclass Registration Process
Learn to approach an audition with humour and confidence while also gaining essential tips of the trade! This is bound to be an afternoon filled with creativity and laughter that you wont soon forget.
For singers aged 16 and above
6 participants
An accompanist will be provided
Singers should prepare one song and be prepared to sing a 32 bar audition cut as well as the whole piece.
About Constant Bernard:
A Franco-Ontarian at heart, Constant was born and raised in the city of Rockland, Ontario, just east of Ottawa. He holds a degree in Theatre from the University of Ottawa as well as a Music Theatre Performance Degree from Sheridan College. Constant currently stars as Ruth in Titanique (Mirvish/Segal Center). He plays Reginald in Overlord and the Underwoods (CBC Gem/Nickelodeon) and Momo in Makinium (Radio-Canada). Later this year, he will be making his film debut in Gail Maurice’s feature film ROSIE.
On stage, Constant has performed in many musicals and plays across Canada. In 2012, he was cast as The Genie in Disney Cruise Line’s Aladdin and spent 8 years traveling the world aboard the Disney ships. Highlights from his past stage performances include: Trey Parker’s Cannibal: The Musical (Starvox), The Rocky Horror Show (Citadel Theatre), Le Passé Antérieur, Les Zinspiré.e.s (Théâtre français de Toronto), Frozen, Twice Charmed: A Cinderella Story and Tangled: The Musical (Disney) and Vaches: The Musical (Créations In Vivo).
An artist donning many hats, Constant has also directed 2 editions of Les Zinspiré.e.s for Théâtre français de Toronto which have garnered several Dora Award nominations.

EVAA Eligibility:
All applicants must have studied with a NATS teacher and have previously competed in an intermediate or senior level class (classical or musical theatre, respective to the competition they are entering) in any NATS Student Vocal Festival. (It does not have to be the NATS-NCR festival) Applicants who have not competed in the festival may enter in this year’s festival as well as the scholarship. Applicants do not have to be currently studying with a NATS teacher.

Age: Be in Grade 12, or 17 Years of age as of December 31st, 2024 - 30 years of age.
Intention: For individuals currently attending or applying to programs in music, specifically studies in voice. Both secondary education and young artist’s programs are acceptable. Other projects being considered are professional recordings, supporting tuition/travel needs in order to pursue opportunities similar to the above to study with industry professionals or attend programs.
